The Australian division of SEW-EURODRIVE is headquartered in Melbourne and is supported by a network of offices in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia. SEW delivers motion solutions to a variety of industries from mining to bottling facilities and from escalators to theme park rides.

The role

Based at our Perth office the role is primarily a sales support engineering role. This will suit a customer focussed candidate who has strong problem-solving skills and is enthusiastic about finding practical solutions in day-to-day industrial gearbox applications. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Perform product selections and calculations in accordance with SEW Guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance to AUS standards.

  • Quotation of SEW products directly to customers, and indirectly by supporting the sales team both in WA & nationally.

  • Engineering tasks including providing assistance to sales, logistics & production teams.

  • Keep the customer at the forefront of day-to-day tasks enhancing their interaction with SEW-Eurodrive.

  • Review product updates to ensure we remain across the latest technical & commercial developments.

  • Process quotations and orders in CRM/SAP.

  • Coordinate projects deliverables.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Technical sales/support experience within mechanical industrial products industry would be highly regarded.

  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

  • General understanding of industrial applications, and knowledge of mechanical power transmission is highly regarded.

  • Ability to diagnose and synthesise real-life application problems in a systematic approach.

  • Self-motivated, ambitious, able to learn and apply oneself.

  • Knowledge of SAP/R3 and CRM is highly regarded.

  • Strong ability to follow detailed procedures with high attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all engineering and sales tasks
