The Lindsay Group proudly operates an extensive Rural and National Transport and Logistics business across various locations connecting growers, regional communities and businesses with cities and sellers of fresh food across Australia. As part of the group Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs. Lindsay Rural and the Hunters business provide essential services and products to rural Australia across most Australian growing regions.

Today we employ over 1,800 exceptional individuals, with roughly 35% based in Regional Australia, and together we service over 1.5 million tonnes of temperature-controlled freight every year across the country.

The Role:

Lindsay Fresh Logistics is currently seeking experienced Forklift Drivers to join our team

We have both casual positions available across day and night shifts, with weekend work required.

Shift Details:

  • Night Shift: Start time varies between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM
  • Day Shift: Start time varies between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Moving freight to and from storage areas.
  • Load trucks in accordance with the load sheet
  • Stabilisation equipment is used as required
  • Fridge motor temperatures are set correctly & checked prior to vehicle departure.
  • Primarily loading dry, fresh, refrigerated, frozen freight onto trailers for distribution

About You:

To succeed in this role, we anticipate you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Have a valid & current forklift licence and experience in this class
  • Have warehouse and pick, packing and stocktaking experience
  • Have experience loading and unloading trucks
  • Have refrigeration experience (preferred)
  • Be reliable and punctual with good communication skills
  • Be able to adhere to transport documentation

Past experience in logistic, warehousing or transportation or experience pick packing fresh, frozen or chilled produce is well respected for this role but not essential

To be successful for this role applicants must:

  • Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
  • Be flexible and able to work over weekends as required
