Job DescriptionOur on-site cafe offers a delicious menu of innovative food at reasonable prices. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, and Wednesday to Sunday for dinner. The cafe is fully licensed, offers an a la carte & takeaway menu and wine list that is sure to please all palates and cater for all budgets
What you will do:
We're seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Casual Cook to join our kitchen team at Darlington Beach Resort. In this hands-on role, you'll assist with basic food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hand duties, supporting our Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver quality meals to guests in our resort dining venue.
- Assist with basic food preparation and cooking tasks
- Support the Head Chef and kitchen team during busy service periods
- Liaise with kitchen staff, food service/bar staff and management regarding customers order and general service of kitchen operations
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Perform general kitchen hand duties as required
What you will bring
- Previous experience in a kitchen, café or restaurant (preferred, but not essential)
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Reliable, punctual and a team player
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow food safety and hygiene regulations
