McKellar Partners is an independent corporate M&A advisor specializing in the technology and business services sectors. Our expertise spans SaaS, AI, MSP, defence, mining, and business process outsourcing/offshoring. We assist company shareholders in these sectors to prepare for and execute majority or complete exits (share sales) to maximize shareholder returns. Leveraging our extensive experience and proven processes, we ensure precise company valuation by considering financial performance and unique intellectual property. We closely monitor market trends and acquirer sentiment while collaborating with other M&A advisors.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mergers and Acquisitions expert, with 5+ years of experience in the sector. The role is located in the Greater Brisbane Area, with some work from home flexibility. Open to candidates based anywhere on the east coast of Australia (or Canberra). This role will be responsible for managing and executing M&A transactions, conducting due diligence, performing financial analyses, and preparing detailed information memorandums. They will work closely with clients to advise on strategic options, prepare comprehensive company valuations, and coordinate deal execution processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Analytical Skills, Finance, and Investments experience
  • Due Diligence and Accounting expertise
  • Experience preparing detailed and professional Information Memorandums
  • Strong understanding of market trends and acquirer sentiment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Experience in the technology or business services sectors is a plus
  • Experience in deal origination and preparing pitch decks and negotiating mandates a plus
  • Professional certification such as CFA or CPA is a plus
