We work with clients across the entire project life cycle — from initial planning studies through to final construction, operations, and maintenance services.

Our expertise in planning, designing, and managing transportation and water infrastructure systems, as well as restoring and replacing older infrastructure, allows us to support the renewal and continued sustainability of these vital assets.

Due to ongoing growth and some exciting project wins, AECOM is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Sydney office.

You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from a strong team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists, of all levels.

How you'll make a difference:

• Completing desk studies, planning, and delivering ground investigations and preparing associated factual and interpretive reporting
• Providing a strong competency in ground characterisation, geotechnical parameter assessment and high-quality reporting
• Assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals and attending meetings with contractors and clients, both external and internal
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers and facilitating opportunities that build team competency

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated competency in scoping, planning, and managing geotechnical investigations
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office, Sequent and Rocscience specialist software
