About the Role:

As a Senior M&A Lawyer, your role will include:

  • Leading and managing complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.
  • Advising clients on deal structures, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and risk mitigation.
  • Negotiating and drafting transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and shareholder agreements.
  • Providing strategic advice to clients on corporate governance and restructuring matters.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers, contributing to their development and the team's success.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships to support business development efforts.

About You:

  • Extensive Experience
    : Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience in M&A or corporate law, ideally from a leading firm or in-house legal team.
  • Technical Expertise
    : Proven ability to handle complex transactions from inception to completion.
  • Commercial Acumen
    : A strong understanding of market trends and the ability to deliver commercially sound advice.
  • Leadership Skills
    : Experience mentoring teams and managing client relationships effectively.
  • Communication Skills
    : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for clear, concise, and persuasive advice.
  • Qualification
    : Admission as a lawyer in Australia or New Zealand
