ADMINISTRATION (PROCUREMENT) ENTRY LEVEL
We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic person, to join our dedicated high performance manufacturing team. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant, who desires pursuing a future in procurement, to expand existing administrative skills within the manufacturing industry. Guidance and practical learning will be provided in procurement of local products as well as progressing to procurement of critical imported stocks.
Australian work rights are essential for this position.
Tasks:
- Receipt approved deliveries and process creditor invoices
- Raise approved purchase orders within Delegation Limits
- Research and source compliant products
- Take ownership of and maintain creditor and stock details including contact, pricing and specifications
- Monitor inventory levels both local and import to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
- Manage stock maintained at our offsite storage partner and ensure transfers are conducted to limit stock shortages at our main facility
- Follow – up/ monitor timely receipt of purchase orders
- Communicate to internal staff any delays impacting delivery or unavailability of items so that manufacturing can be adjusted or customers can be updated.
- Contribute to procurement compliance in accordance with our Integrated Management System (Quality, Occupational Safety and Environmental ISO Standards)
- Assist fellow team members when required
Desirables:
- More than 3 years' experience in an administrative role with an interest in pursuing a career in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Minimum Year 12 education is required for this role
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships throughout the organisation in order to support their requirements
- Willingness to learn and desire to achieve a high standard in performance
- Competent skills in Microsoft suite
- Ability to think independently and demonstrate initiative
- Attention to detail and thoroughness
- Maturity to accept responsibility and acknowledge criticality of the procurement process
