Your new role

We are currently seeking a proactive Enrolled Endorsed Nurse or Personal Care Assistant (with the ability to administer medications) to join our friendly and dynamic residential team at our Eunice Seddon Home on a Part Time basis. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care.

The roster will be as below:

Week 1: Tuesday (1430 – 2145), Thursday, Friday & Saturday (0700 – 1400)

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday (0700 – 1400) & Friday (1430 – 2145)

Your responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Assisting residents with personal care including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other activities of daily living
  • To observe and report changes in resident's behaviour or physical condition
  • To undertake medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
  • To liaise with medical practitioners, pharmacists and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents
  • Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents' behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required
  • Providing emotional support to residents.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Ability to work both in team and autonomously
  • Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration) or Certificate III/IV in Aged Care/Individual Support
  • Completion of medication administration unit (HLTHPS006 - Assist Clients with Medication)
  • Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community/home care
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to enhance or maintain our residents independence and lifestyle
  • A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
