Robotics Automation Developer
is responsible for the development, configuration and testing of RPA assets using Blue Prism - working directly with business stakeholders to automate processes and enhance existing automated processes. A Robotics Automation Developer also works closely with other members of the Centre of Excellence to facilitate successful transfer of support to the support team, business requirements gathering, process re-engineering and technical feasibility assessments.
The Key Responsibilities Of This Role Include:
- Performing robot configuration and development in blue prism in adherence with development & design standards within agreed timeframes
- Thorough unit testing of all aspects of automation development.
- Assisting the business with User Acceptance Testing
- Accurate documentation that captures the automated process and all technical aspects of the solution
- Ensure that all aspects of solutions delivered adhere to best practice methodology, design standards, risk frameworks and company policies
- Proactively raise all risks and issues.
- Perform technical feasibility assessments
- Working with business stakeholders to ensure accurate understanding of their business requirements and the delivery of quality, fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Investigating better practices and alternative solutions that better suit our stakeholder's needs
- Attending meetings with stakeholders that relate to the current build/project and actively contribute where required
- Provide timely updates to the business and Robotics Automation Manager
- Active contribution to the RPA development and design standards and COE best practices
- Identify and suggest improvements to existing automated processes.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, IT, engineering, computer science, data science or other relevant disciplines
- Experience in delivering robotics automation initiatives
- Experience with managing stakeholders including international-based stakeholders
- Experience and or professional certification with Blue Prism
- Experience and or certification in other platforms such as UIPath, Automation Anywhere is desirable
- Experience with intelligent automation / complementary technologies and integration with RPA
- Experience MS Office software, Excel, Powerpoint
- Experience in working with other programming languages is desirable
- Excellent problem-solving and solution design capability
- Willingness to learn and become an expert in RPA and other automation technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations
- Adaptability to new challenges, an agile mindset, self-starting and engaging
- Teamwork oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
