We are seeking an skilled Specialist Medical Secretary to join our small but busy healthcare practice in Gosford, NSW. This permanent part-time role for 3 days per week will provide vital administrative support to our specialist doctors, ensuring the smooth running of our medical operations. This position is well-suited to someone who is organised, efficient, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a warm, patient-focused approach are essential. Must be able to cover sick and holiday leave.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide high-level secretarial support to specialist doctors
  • Manage appointments, patient enquiries, and scheduling
  • Prepare and manage medical correspondence, reports, and referrals
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Liaise with hospitals, referrers, and other healthcare providers
  • Dictaphone typing
  • Assist with billing, Medicare claims, and administrative processes
  • Ensure the overall smooth running of the office

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00 – $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 27 per week
