About the role

Utilise a high- level of clinical pharmacy knowledge, leadership, skills and digital experience to ensure ongoing clinical safety, service continuity at STARS and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement, medicines stewardship and value-based, patient-centred healthcare care.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical practice including the use of digital platforms for innovative hospital pharmacy service delivery and deliver duties with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
  • Utilise a high level of contemporary clinical pharmacy knowledge so as to apply independent professional judgement to facilitate the ongoing provision of continuing education, training and adoption requirements of a multidisciplinary workforce at a digital, greenfield hospital site.
  • Demonstrate an affinity with electronic medicines management systems and a willingness to become a subject matter expert regarding medication management processes (encompassing ieMR and non-ieMR electronic medicines management systems) so as to deliver effective training and support to the relevant STARS workforce
  • Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, using an evidence-based approach to adapt routine clinical practice and support the continuum of care.
