Agar Cleaning Systems is a family-run manufacturer and supplier of high quality industrial and general cleaning products for commerce and industry, directly and through distributors and resellers.

We need a customer-friendly professional driver and storeperson to work with our friendly team at our Queensland branch warehouse at Acacia Ridge. This energetic, conscientious, and reliable person will be responsible for the delivery of goods to our valued distributors and customers in the Brisbane region, and stores work including storing away inward goods and order picking in our Queensland warehouse.

The delivery vehicles include a Ford Transit van, an Isuzu D-Max tray back utility, and a Hino tray back light truck, which means light truck licence is required. The Transit and Hino have manual transmissions, so you must be able to drive a manual.

Working full time Monday to Friday, the successful applicant's main responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Delivery of customer orders in the Brisbane and coastal regions
  • Picking and loading ordered goods for delivery or collection
  • Unloading and storing away inward goods shipments

Other occasional duties:

  • Serving, and fetching goods for 'door sale' customers
  • Stock counting and ordering
  • Processing sales orders via ERP system

We are seeking someone who enjoys getting out-and-about delivering orders, mixed with physical stores work, and dealing cheerfully and courteously with people of all backgrounds. They need to have a good ability to communicate with fellow staff and customers, an excellent driving record, a high level of stamina for physical work and accurate numerical skills.

Proven experience in similar delivery roles including familiarity with the Brisbane CBD and suburban road network, will be a definite advantage. A light truck licence is required, and a forklift licence would also be an advantage, but is not essential.

Most of our products are chemical liquids packed in 5 litre and 20 litre containers, so the successful applicant must be able to regularly lift goods weighing up to 25kg.

Working in a small team, consistent attendance, being adaptable to changing duties and an ability to work calmly under pressure and 'get on with the job' are all important.
