Downer Professional Services is comprised of three business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, which partners with CASG and NSSG a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for an ICT Project Manager to join our team on permanent basis in Canberra. Play a key role in delivering complex defence projects that safeguard Australia's future.
What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Collaboratively manage Project under the direction of Project Director.
- Plan and coordinate project activities and resource requirements.
- Ensure project artefacts are developed and approved in accordance with Departmental policies and practices.
- Regularly report on project successes and progress.
- Ensure capabilities are released as planned.
What You'll Bring
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent experience.
- A few years of relevant project management experience preferably in an ICT team within a Federal Government environment.
- Previous experience with ITSM is highly regarded.
- Proficient in Waterfall and Agile delivery
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to deliver strategic solutions.
- You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a Positive vetting clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
