Datalynx has strategic partnerships with the major Cloud platform vendors (AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle).

We have a requirement for a ETL Developer / Data Analyst with 3+ years of experience to join a professional team delivering innovative and high-profile strategic programs of work.

You must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, interested in learning new skills and technologies and excited by roles that challenge you to think outside the box.

You will receive on the job training in Datalynx technologies and innovative cloud solutions.

Datalynx currently has a hybrid working model comprising 2 days a week working from home and 3 in the office. Note: Datalynx reserves the right to change working arrangements at any time.

Essential Prerequisites

You must have unrestricted residency and work rights in Australia

You must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computing or related discipline

It is an essential requirement of this role that you successfully pass an Australian Police Check and Working with Children Check.

As Datalynx undertakes work for clients in a variety of geographies you may be required to participate in meetings during non-standard business hours from time to time.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Developing your technical skills through on-the-job training and completing selected online courses.

Participating in project team meetings with partners and clients

Working as part of a technical project team to achieve agreed outcomes, including developing data management business solutions using the Datalynx Data Management Suite.

Working with business analysts to define business rules for data quality management and migration.

Translating business requirement specifications and rules into technical specifications and SQL.

Interpreting data models and undertaking detailed analysis of data held in a variety of formats / systems

Identifying data quality issues and assisting to develop suitable remediation strategies.

Essential criteria to be successful are:

3-4 years' experience as an ETL Developer with exposure to one or more of the following: data analysis, ETL, data cleansing and data migration.

In addition to the skills below, experience with financial systems and understanding of functional components such as GL, Chart of Accounts etc would be well regarded.

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Solid foundation in SQL with the ability to write queries of varying complexity.
  • Understanding of data modelling techniques/design.
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • The ability to fit into and make a valuable contribution to a team of professionals.

Desirable requirements (criteria)

Experience with Cloud data technologies

Experience working with financial systems

Experience working in Government organisations
