Role Purpose Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of platform transformation initiatives, people manager driving cloud modernisation, automation, and scalable platform capability aligned to the enterprise Data & AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities Platform Transformation & Delivery

  • Deliver end-to-end platform transformation programs, including cloud adoption, containerisation, microservices, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Embed architecture, security, compliance, and governance standards across platform evolution.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, resources, and delivery timelines to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide clear reporting and communication on progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise cost, performance, and platform scalability.
  • Promote innovation, automation, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop platform engineers and technical specialists.
  • Champion Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery practices to accelerate transformation.
  • Build strong relationships across product, engineering, architecture, and business teams.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, learning, and experimentation.
  • Facilitate effective communication and conflict resolution across cross-functional teams.

Key Relationships Internal: Direct Team, Technology Leadership, Enterprise Architects, Platform Teams, Business Stakeholders, Steercos

External: Strategic Partners, Vendors

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years in platform management, IT transformation, or technical program management in Data & AI environments.
  • Proven delivery of complex cloud/platform transformation initiatives.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and enterprise compliance.
  • Excellent project/program management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership of technical teams and cross-functional delivery.
  • Cloud or project management certifications advantageous.
