Customer Service
- Assists the Customer Service Supervisor in the day to day running of the department.
- Provides daily supervision to the DAPL Customer Service team.
- Provides help and advice to customers; communicates courteously with customers by telephone and e-mail.
- Investigates and solves customer problems, directs customer complaints and provides information and reports.
- Trains staff to deliver a high standard of customer service.
- Keeps ahead of developments and best practice in customer service procedures and processes, including talking with customers, other Donaldson entities and Managers.
- Ensures the accuracy of customer requirements.
- Provides help and advice to customers, including hands on processing of customer orders.
- Develops customer service procedures, policies and standards for the company
- Learns about Donaldson products and keeps up to date with changes. Initiates training in product and software systems to ensure the customer service team has the tools and skills necessary to perform their jobs.
- Follows through with all activities that affect customer satisfaction including stock, dispatch, transport, billing procedures and information flow.
- Liaises with warehouse to enable an efficient process for the shipping of all orders.
- Ensures support is provided to all Managers by the communication of information and reports on product and customer activity.
- Provides the Product Support group and others with information in cross reference requests from major customers.
- Interacts with the sales teams in the creation and support of all new customer accounts.
- Participates in staff recruitment and appraisals.
- Participates in employment relation activities.
Safety
- Ensures safe systems of work and safe equipment.
- Actively promotes safety.
- Monitors safety performance for area of responsibility.
- Sets the expectation to work safely through responses and commitment.
- Attends safety training meetings.
General
- Undertake all tasks with a positive and professional work ethic.
- Ensures all work is undertaken in a safe and tidy manner.
- Ensures all activities related to your duties comply with Company policies and procedures, relevant legislation, legal and professional standards as well as the Company's Code of Conduct.
- Undertake any other task associated with the operations of the business that may be reasonably requested from time to time or subject to a specific direction.
