MAYDAY Healthcare are thrilled to be partnering with one of Australia's largest and most respected healthcare providers to find an experienced Registered Nurse – Critical Care (Cardiothoracic ICU) to join their high-performing team. About the Role:

You'll be joining an 11-bed Critical Care Unit, caring for a mix of Cardiothoracic ICU and high-dependency patients. This is a pivotal role where you'll provide advanced, patient-focused care while supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality care to critically ill and post-operative cardiothoracic patients
  • Coordinating and delegating shift activities to ensure safe and timely patient flow
  • Overseeing the Quality & Risk portfolio and leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to drive excellence across the team

About You:

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse with recent ICU experience (Cardiothoracic background desirable)
  • Post-Graduate Qualification in Critical Care Nursing
  • Proven leadership experience with strong critical thinking and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A collaborative, patient-first approach aligned with Calvary's mission and values
