
Corporate Development Project Lead

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing private equity-backed business who provide strategic, commercial & operational advisory and project services to diversified clients globally. They are committed to driving value through innovation and are continually expanding their operations and market presence through M&A domestically and offshore.
In addition, the business is deep in preparation for a future liquidity event in 2026 and is currently seeking an experienced M&A professional to run point on this project.
You will be responsible for orchestrating the sale of the business, developing strategic initiatives, running teams and engaging with potential buyers, whilst working closely with the CFO in financial and commercial decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project lead the end-to-end sale process, including team management, preparing marketing materials, managing investor relations, and coordinating due diligence.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to position the business for sale.
- Identify and engage potential buyers, including strategic and financial investors.
- Negotiate deal terms and support management through the transaction process.
- Collaborate with internal teams, advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful process.
- Provide insights and recommendations to maximize value and achieve the best possible outcomes.
This pivotal role requires a strong negotiator with deep experience in M&A and corporate strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with post graduate qualifications preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a private equity, investment banking or M&A consulting environment - or a within a similar role within a corporate.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel and other financial software.
- Hands on M&A deal management and execution experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
