About the Role
As a
Sales Manager (Distributor)
you will develop sales and marketing business plans to achieve revenue, margin, and market share for the defined portfolio of accounts and regional distributors in Asia . You will focus efforts on accelerating the distributor business across Asia such as Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and the Philippines. The role will be based in Sydney.
What you will do
- Prepare, execute and review Joint Business Plans with distributor accounts.
- Manage sales revenue, Direct Contribution Margin (DCM) by category, and Trade Partner Investment (TPI) by distributor account.
- Develop programs to achieve maximum sales results consistent with sales projections, ensuring category targets are achieved
- Drive successful product launches in collaboration with distributors and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiating annual sales agreement contracts & support product certification / complaince process as required by country.
- Effectively communicate account strategies and tactical plans to marketing team.
- Analyse business performance, including net sales, stock in hand (SOH), ranging, product mix, demand planning, balance of sale, and market share.
- Optimising account management through insight driven selling & price margin realization (PMR)
- Develop strong partnerships with the marketing team to successfully drive category leadership, promotional programs, and new product launches.
- Develop strong mutually beneficial partnerships with distributors.
- Leverage best practices with peers within the region.
- Attend trade shows, customer events and other duties as required.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor of Business, related discipline or extensive sales experience.
- Commercial or analytical skills experience would be highly considered.
- +4 years proven sales account experience, Managing distributor sales is highly considered.
- Relevant experience in Direct or Indirect consumer sales management.
- Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills complemented with superior communication and the ability to cultivate strong business partnerships
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Insight driven selling experience with familiarity with Euromonitor or GFK data.
- Strong training, presentation and relationship management skills
- Exceptional planning skills to optimize time management
- Positive, friendly, and engaging customer centric approach
- Strong ability to be self motivated and work remotely
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Suite
- Fluent in English. Mandarin or Korean speaking candidates would be highly considered.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
