The Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed 
Occupational Therapist
 to join our team. In this role, you will deliver client-centred therapy across home, community, and clinic settings. You will conduct functional assessments, develop tailored therapy plans, and provide interventions to support daily living, mobility, sensory regulation, equipment prescription, and home modifications.

You will collaborate with clients, families, support coordinators, and other allied health professionals to ensure holistic, integrated outcomes. This position is offered as a permanent part-time role, three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive functional capacity assessments and prepare high-quality reports in line with NDIS requirements.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions across activities of daily living, community access, assistive technology, and environmental modifications.
  • Develop and implement personalised support plans in consultation with participants and their support networks.
  • Provide training and support to families, carers, and support workers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Uphold the NDIS Practice Standards, Assad Care Code of Conduct and the Code of Conduct for Occupational Therapists.
  • Adhere to Assad Care organisational policies at all times.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Minimum 
    2 years' experience
     supporting individuals with disability, psychosocial needs, or age-related health conditions.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Cultural competency and commitment to inclusive practice.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • National Police Clearance (within last 12 months).
  • Working with Children Check (Ochre Card).
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
