Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service
The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is a large regional hospital that provides a wide range of services including emergency, general and surgical, maternity, outpatient, and outreach services. The hospital has 58 beds including flex and monitored beds. The Port Augusta Hospital also has chemotherapy services and has a Renal Dialysis Unit and a Paediatric Department, both of which are the largest outside of Adelaide. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. Whyalla Hospital
Whyalla Hospital and Health Services is a large regional hospital comprising of 75 beds including flex beds and a designated High Dependency Unit. The hospital provides a wide range of services, including emergency, medical and surgical, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, and outpatients. Whyalla Hospital's Cancer Resource Centre is one of the largest in regional South Australia. It includes six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient care and counselling services, reducing the need to travel outside of the region for care. It is also, one of three stroke services in regional SA, providing specialised treatment for suitable stroke patients 24/7, supported by metropolitan stroke units. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. About the Role:
The Regional Clinical Senior Speech Pathologist is an experienced and highly skilled clinician who delivers high-quality services and provides clinical and professional leadership to allied health professionals across the FUNLHN region and rural and remote areas of South Australia. This role contributes to improving the quality, safety, and community-focused delivery of services by working collaboratively with allied health staff, managers, and stakeholders on service models, workforce development, and initiatives that address the evolving needs of the community.

About You:
- Must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant Allied Health Profession and be eligible for (full) membership of the relevant Allied Health Profession. For those professions requiring Registration all requirements to obtain and maintain current registration must be fulfilled. For self-regulated professions it is desirable to participate in the professional associations accredited continuing professional development program.
- Apply specialist expertise in complex clinical or consultancy services across FUNLHN or professional network.
- Operate with professional independence, clinical competence, and advanced reflective-practice skills.
- Use detailed knowledge of FUNLHN operations, service delivery, and workforce issues to manage complex responsibilities.
- Advise management on service development, practice improvement, and redesign in response to client needs.
