Based at our Arundel Head Office, this full-time or part-time (4 days) Workplace Health & Safety Advisor role is ideal for a self-motivated professional, passionate about wellbeing, safety, and positive workplace culture. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, you will develop, implement, and monitor health and safety programs that minimise risk, ensure legislative compliance, and foster a psychologically safe and proactive workplace for both office-based and remote teams.
What you'll do:
- Lead and embed a positive safety culture, empowering leaders and staff to make safety part of everyday practice.
- Develop, implement and review WHS policies, systems and programs that ensure compliance, prevention and continuous improvement.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections; from physical spaces to psychosocial environments, and drive practical, people-centred solutions.
- Manage incident investigations, injury management and return-to-work programs with empathy and professionalism.
- Design and deliver training, inductions and safety campaigns that inform and inspire.
- Partner across teams to promote wellbeing and psychological safety, supporting those working in trauma-informed settings.
- Report on WHS performance trends, providing insights that strengthen our culture of care.
- Regular local and interstate travel will be required.
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in workplace health and safety management, including policy implementation, risk assessment and compliance.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety (minimum).
- Ability to translate wellbeing and psychosocial safety principles into everyday practice across roles and teams.
- Proven experience managing workers' compensation and return-to-work programs, with a strong ability to navigate legislation and ensure effective case management.
- Solid ability to communicate persuasively, facilitate effectively, and cultivate meaningful relationships.
- Skilled in balancing compliance and care, with a focus on both physical and psychological wellbeing.
- Brings a solutions-focused mindset to safety challenges; proactive, adaptable and collaborative.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Current or willingness to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check.
