About the Role

As a Trainer & Assessor, you will be delivering training and assessment services across a variety of courses, with a strong focus on safety and compliance. This role will include classroom-based delivery, workplace assessing, and online student support. You will be responsible for ensuring training meets the latest industry standards, compliance requirements, and supports student success across sectors such as
Construction, Resources, Engineering and other Ancillary sector

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess accredited training packages, with a focus on construction and mining-related qualifications
• Facilitate engaging, compliant, and effective training sessions (face-to-face and online)
• Provide ongoing student support and feedback throughout the training process
• Liaise with local employers and industry to ensure relevance of training and business growth

Essential Requirements

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or TAE upgrades)
• Current QLD WHSQ Accredited Assessor qualification
• Ability and experience delivering at least some of the following High Risk Work License training - Scaffold, EWP, Forklift, Dogging and Rigging
• Relevant vocational qualifications and recent industry experience in the mining and construction fields
• Experience delivering training and assessment in an RTO setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team

Desirable

• Current Blue Card or ability to obtain
• Flexibility to travel within the Mackay region for workplace assessments
• Experience in industries such as mining, construction, or civil works
