Who is Machine?

Our t-shirt print shop is considered one of the best in Australia. We've been in business for over 25 years and have expanded into a new location in Pascoe Vale. We are looking for an experienced screen maker to add to our very busy print shop.

What is involved?

The primary responsibility will be to join our print team and head up the screen department. The ideal candidate will have experience making stencils, coating and exposing screens and general screen handling.

We are looking for someone who has the standard technical knowledge of screen making. You will work under the Operations Manager communicating daily about screens that are needed. We use Direct to Screen technology, Automated cleaning / reclaim equipment and will provide training for all of these processes.

This role requires the ability to manage a daily flow of jobs and information. Our production has strict deadlines and you will be able to show you can respond to tight timeframes well.

Key responsibilities will include:


• Creating stencils on screens


•  Coating and exposing screens [using automatic screen coater]


•  Reclaiming screens [new automatic equipment - training provided].


• Communication with Operations Manager to ensure customers' deadlines are met.


• Communication with artroom and printers with regards to jobs on press.


• Ensuring a clean and organised working space.

Other responsibilities can include assisting with cleaning of screens, helping the print team on press if required and liaising with the artroom coordinator and sales team.

• Experience as a screen maker


• Process and procedure focused and able to maintain high standards in terms of productivity.


• Excellent time management and communication skills.


• Effective decision making skills with a specific emphasis on attention to detail.


• Self-motivated, proactive with a strong work ethic.


• Be physically fit.
