About the Role

The Australian Institute of Advanced Technologies (AIAT) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Higher Education Adminstrator (Academic) to join our growing higher education team.

This pivotal role provides high-level support to academic leaders in the development, management, and quality assurance of academic programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, accreditation requirements, and national higher education standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in academic governance, compliance monitoring, course accreditation, student progression, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping shape AIAT's academic excellence and student success.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee academic program development, implementation, and review to ensure alignment with institutional strategy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support course accreditation, renewal, and CRICOS processes, including drafting submissions and managing documentation.
  • Coordinate academic policies and administrative procedures to maintain compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF 2021), ESOS Act 2000, and National Code 2018.
  • Maintain accurate course and student data in academic systems, ensuring integrity of records and reporting.
  • Facilitate academic governance processes and provide secretariat support for key committees.
  • Work with Course Directors and the Director, Learning and Teaching, to develop study plans, timetables, and professional development initiatives.
  • Manage and analyse student feedback, academic performance, and progression data to support continuous improvement.
  • Support staff recruitment, orientation, graduation, and academic operations as required.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including industry partners and regulatory bodies.

You're an organised, analytical, and proactive higher education professional who thrives in a dynamic academic environment. You enjoy balancing compliance and creativity, supporting academic excellence while maintaining strong governance and operational efficiency.

You will bring:

  • Experience in academic administration, quality assurance, or compliance within higher education.
  • Strong understanding of the HESF, TEQSA frameworks, and ESOS/CRICOS requirements.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to coordinate projects, manage data, and prepare high-quality reports and submissions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple priorities.
  • Tertiary qualification in education administration, business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
