About the role
The Business Development team is responsible for attracting and retaining partnerships and financial support to fund operations and enable impact for clients and communities. Within the team, and reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Impact Reporting and Analytics Manager provides high quality qualitative and quantitative support to all new, and existing, fundraising and partnership opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced funding and highly analytics literate individual to join Many Rivers and make a critical contribution to the growth of the organisation.
Our approach to impact evaluation and funding is progressive and industry leading. The role involves preparing reports that describe (in words and numbers) the actual/projected impact of programs, ensuring funding contract compliance, managing risks, and maintaining accurate records. The role also prepares supporting material data-driven insights to enhance fundraising strategies (grants, investments) and impact development.
Key position responsibilities -please note that interstate travel will be required as part of this role.
Fundraising Analytics and Insights
- Prepare data-driven insights and visualisations to support fundraising pitch material.
- Analyse external and internal data on funder engagement, funding success rates, and program outcomes to inform future opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to tailor insights for different audiences and opportunities.
- Support the Head of Business Development to develop and implement frameworks for measuring and reporting on the impact of Many Rivers programs, aligned to all funding opportunities.
- Work with Deloitte Access Economics to enhance understanding of Evaluation outcomes and link to new fundraising opportunities.
- Support the CEO and Head of BD to scope and obtain ad hoc insights to support strategic fundraising opportunities.
CRM Management and Data Integrity
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the BD CRM system related to funding partnerships, opportunities, key contacts and interactions.
- Implement data quality controls and ensure consistency across partner profiles, funding history, and engagement notes.
- Support integration of CRM data into reporting and analytics workflows.
Quantitative Analysis and Financial Modelling
- Design, build, and maintain financial models that support both new and continuing fundraising initiatives (including investment).
- Model scenarios for funding proposals, including cost-benefit analyses, ROI projections, and sustainability forecasts.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
Impact Development and Continuous Improvement
- Provide quantitative support to innovative social impact investment products that align with the organisation's mission and goals.
- Develop and refine frameworks for measuring and communicating impact across programs and pilots.
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.

Selection Criteria
- Experience in financial management, economics, or statistics with advanced MS Excel skills and financial modelling proficiency.
- Knowledge of business intelligence systems and processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating data into insights, and actionable opportunities.
- Understanding of the social impact investment sector in Australia.
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously to achieve deadlines with high quality.
- Experience in impact measurement, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and reporting on progress and outcomes.
