St Jude's Health Care Group is a trusted provider of Aged Care, Allied Health and Disability Services, established in 1982. With a strong reputation built over four decades and as a purpose-driven organisation, we operate with a clear philosophy: we do not provide any service that isn't good enough for our own families. Our work is grounded in respect, integrity, commitment, and genuine partnerships with the individuals and communities we support.
Role Summary
The Respite Coordinator will oversee incoming enquiries, liaise with potential clients and their families, and proactively identify opportunities to connect with individuals who may benefit from short-term disability accommodation in our disability services accommodation. The role will serve as a key member of our team responsible for managing and coordinating respite services across our NDIS houses in Western Australia (WA) and Queensland (QLD). This role will focus on providing high-quality short-stay accommodation options for individuals with disability, ensuring their needs are met in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

- Ensure facility readiness, coordinate client placements, and optimize bookings.
- Maintain accurate client information, assist with paperwork, and ensure compliance with NDIS standards.
- Communicate expectations with the operations team and address client queries promptly.
- Conduct regular visits, address issues proactively, gather feedback, and foster strong client relationships.
- Build trust with clients and families, convert respite clients to permanent accommodation, and collaborate with the operations team.
- Monitor client satisfaction, ensure adherence to NDIS guidelines, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
This role is being hired on a permanent full-time basis and is located out of our central office in Belmont.
Skills, Attributes and Experience
- Experience in disability support, NDIS services, or community care sectors.
- Knowledge of respite accommodation services and the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.
- Proven experience in client engagement, customer service, or relationship management.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- A full and valid C class driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies, and other professionals.
