As a key member of the Department of Rural Health, you'll be instrumental in delivering mental health education to MD students at Grampians Health, Ballarat. You'll collaborate with clinical teachers and health service providers, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. This role offers you the chance to innovate within a values-driven culture, enhancing both teaching and research outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical Education Leadership: Organise and deliver engaging tutorials, clinical sessions, and ward rounds in mental health.
  • Student Orientation and Assessment: Guide students through mental health rotations and assess their progress.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Participate in Rural Clinical School meetings and contribute to professional development tutorials.
  • Research Supervision: Mentor medical student research projects, enhancing their research skills.

You will excel in developing collaborative relationships within the Rural Clinical School, leveraging your clinical teaching expertise and interpersonal skills to enhance student learning and contribute to the University's mission.

  • Possess a medical qualification recognisable in Australia and Fellowship of an Australian College.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Have experience in clinical teaching and curriculum delivery.
  • Exhibit organisational and administrative proficiency.
  • Be committed to maintaining and advancing medical education skills.
