Pharmacist - Grade 2 page is loaded## Pharmacist - Grade 2locations: Ballarat, Victoriatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: October 8, 2025 (21 days left to apply)job requisition id: JR-12037**Your role at St John of God** **Ballarat Hospital**The Pharmacist will provide a ward based clinical pharmacy service including drug chart review, and one-on-one patient counselling at the bedside, with the pharmacist being a valuable member of the therapeutic team.This position will be offered on a **fixed term contract** until **August 2026,** working 76 hours per fortnight.**The Position*** Dispensing medications and education of patients in their use.* Provide a ward pharmacy service to a specific ward including review of drug therapy charts, patient medication education and liaison with medical and other paramedical staff.* Preparation of aseptic items in accordance with the guidelines set down by the Code of Manufacturing Practice, SHPA Practice standards and Hospital Policies.* To provide assistance in the pharmacy with dispensing and cover of other pharmacists’ duties as required.* Supervision of imprest stock distribution, bulk manufacturing of prepacking by Pharmacy Technicians as required.* Provision of continuing education lectures for staff development within the Hospital.* Contributes to and is involved in Quality Activities with a focus on best practice.* Participates in determining and evaluating the quality of care being delivered to patients.* Co-operates in data collection of hospital-wide Quality Activity projects and Clinical Indicators.You will be registered as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA). In addition, you will have well-developed interpersonal, communication skills with the ability to relate to others in a sensitive and professional manner.To succeed you will have the ability to work well in a team environment and have excellent time management and organisational skills.
