$75,000 - $90,000 Annual SalaryIn-OfficeWe're seeking an experienced Intermediate Architect with a keen eye for highly-detailed single-family residential design and a track record of delivering complex projects. Multi-family experience is a plus; commercial/hospitality design is welcome. You'll manage and coordinate consultants with minimal supervision and collaborate across Calgary and Victoria offices while mentoring junior staff.

What you’ll do

- Lead and coordinate project teams (workplans, resourcing, invoicing) to keep projects on schedule and on budget, with support from Senior Architects as needed.

- Maintain primary client contact through the project lifecycle and lead external coordination meetings, assigning tasks to consultants to hit objectives.

- Prepare schematic and design development concepts using a mix of tools (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite) and present to clients with minimal direction.

- Produce and refine construction documents, manage codes and detailing (wood frame and timber construction knowledge a plus), and support construction administration.

- Lead or contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to scope and fee.

- Coordinate with internal teams and external project partners, while actively supporting the studio’s design reviews, critiques, and process improvements.

- Support ongoing professional development within the studio (site visits, lectures, CE opportunities) to inspire the design team.

What we’re looking for

- 5-8 years of relevant architectural experience; professional certification (AAA, AIBC) is an asset; LEED a plus.

- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.

- Strong design sensibility with a hands‑on approach to conceptual development, detailing, and practical building solutions.

- Deep understanding of single‑family design with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset; ability to mentor junior staff.

- Excellent written and verbal communication, client‑facing skills, and the ability to adapt as projects evolve.

- Ability to work effectively across multiple offices and establish long‑term client relationships.
