Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Emergency Veterinarian located in Sydney, NSW. The Emergency Veterinarian will be responsible for providing urgent care to animals in emergency situations. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries, performing emergency surgery, managing critical care cases, collaborating with veterinary specialists, and communicating with pet owners about their animals' conditions and treatments. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations with professionalism and compassion.

Qualifications

  • Veterinary degree (DVM, BVSc, or equivalent) and a valid veterinary license in NSW
  • Experience in emergency and critical care veterinary medicine
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make quick, informed decisions
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and highly organised
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
