Vital Vibes Health Care Agency (VVHA) are seeking enthusiastic Catering Assistants/Food Services Assistants and Cleaners to join our dynamic team at Vital Vibes Healthcare Agency in Prospect, SA. As a Catering Assistants/Food Services Assistants and Cleaners , you will play a vital role in aged care facilities around SA .This is a casual position, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

Catering Assistant/ FSA

• Meal Preparation & Service
  
  Assist in preparing and serving meals that meet individual dietary requirements, including coeliac-safe, vegetarian, and texture-modified options
• Hygiene & Cleanliness
  
  Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen, food prep, and dining areas, adhering to aged care and hospitality protocols
• Team Collaboration
  
  Work closely with facility staff to ensure smooth, timely, and respectful meal service that supports resident wellbeing
• Food Safety & Infection Control
  
  Follow all food safety guidelines, infection control procedures, and aged care compliance standards
• Stock & Equipment Support
  
  Assist with basic inventory checks, restocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is clean and ready for use
• Resident Interaction
  
  Engage with residents in a warm, respectful manner, supporting a positive dining experience and reporting any concerns to facility staff
• Shift Readiness & Flexibility
  
  Arrive prepared for varied shift locations and tasks, with a proactive attitude and commitment to professionalism

Key Responsibilities as Cleaner

-Follow WHS /Reporting and documentation

-Follow Infection Control

-Basic and Deep Cleaning

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

For Catering Assistant /FSA

• Minimum 6 months of paid experience in an aged care setting (essential) (Experience in restaurants or cafés will not be considered.
  
  Applicants must have paid experience specifically within aged care settings, where familiarity with aged care dietary protocols, compliance, and resident interaction is essential)
• Solid understanding of safe food handling practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a respectful, resident-focused approach
• Current police clearance and relevant certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Up-to-date immunisations, including influenza and COVID-19
• Willingness to travel across metropolitan and regional Adelaide
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport

For Cleaners

• Basic Cleaning Experience Must
• Current police clearance and relevant certifications (or willingness to obtain)

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a respectful, resident-focused approach

• Up-to-date immunisations, including influenza and COVID-19

• Willingness to travel across metropolitan and regional Adelaide
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
