CORONADO GLOBAL RESOURCES is a leading international producer of high-quality Metallurgical Coal. Our global operations are located in two of the world's largest and most productive metallurgical coal basins, the Bowen Basin in Queensland and the Central Appalachian region of the US.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Superintendent Engineering to join our Curragh Engineering team. Reporting to the Manager Engineering, this leadership role will be responsible for driving the safe and successful delivery of multi-discipline engineering projects across our business.
About the Role
As Superintendent, you will lead a high-performing team, providing expertise across reliability, electrical, structural, and mechanical disciplines. - Plan, control, and deliver assigned projects safely, on time, and on budget.
- Manage project documentation, compliance, and reporting in line with Curragh frameworks.
- Oversee feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and business cases to secure approvals.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, asset reliability, and change management.
- Champion safe work practices and ensure compliance with SHMS requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across site and the wider business.
About You
You are a results-driven leader with strong technical and project management expertise, coupled with a collaborative leadership style. You thrive on building relationships, driving improvement, and delivering practical engineering solutions that enhance reliability and performance.
Key Experience & Qualifications
- Proven track record of engineering experience, preferably in coal or heavy industry.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams and deliver complex projects.
- Demonstrated financial and project management capability.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
