About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and safety focused Project Engineer to join the Centurion Projects team. This is a hands on role in a lean, high-performing team where a can do attitude and practical approach are essential. You will coordinate consultants and contractors, manage costs, and ensure successful delivery of large scale capital works. It is a rare opportunity to be part of a long term project with career pathways into leadership roles such as Project Leader, Superintendent, or Project Manager.

- Oversee daily operations to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to avoid delays
- Apply engineering drawings and specifications into construction activities
- Lead project meetings and provide clear progress updates
- Implement quality assurance, environmental, and safety standards on site
- Maintain accurate records and document control of engineering drawings, standards, site activities, variations, and reports
- Support the Senior Project Manager with forecasting, procurement, and cost tracking
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (Mining, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline)
- Wealth of experience in mining or heavy industry project delivery
- Proficient with project management software including Project / Primavera, Microsoft Excel and procurement systems (SAP desirable)
- Strong ability to manage contractors, suppliers, and consultants to achieve outcomes
- Solid understanding of engineering standards, codes, and construction methodologies
- Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical ability
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
The Lifestyle
This role is offered on a 9-day fortnight (Mon–Fri / Mon–Thurs), giving you a rostered day off every second week. DIDO is available for those living locally, or FIFO from Brisbane. If you are considering relocating to the region (Moranbah or Mackay), domestic relocation support may be available.
