BASScare is a Not For Profit which operates an integrated program of services including meals-on-wheels, residential care facilities, respite care, dementia specific services, retirement living, as well as planned activity groups at day centres, for older people who wish to remain active and engaged with their local communities.

We are seeking Permanent Part Time and Casual Food Services Assistants (FSA) to join our Residential Services team at Faversham House in the leafy suburb of Canterbury.

The Role

  • Maintaining food safety standards and records.
  • Preparing drinks and tray setting.
  • Serving resident meals according to their dietary requirements
  • Supervision and tidiness of resident dining areas.
  • Clearing tables, washing crockery, cutlery, utensils, including pots and pans.
  • Re-stocking of crockery, cutlery etc. to all areas
  • Work pro-actively to meet the hospitality requirements of BASScare residents

Hours of Work:

Permanent shift available:

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 2pm – 7:30pm
  • Friday and Sunday: 7am – 2pm

Causal shift available: (hours vary throughout the day)

  • 7am-2pm, 2pm-7:30pm, 11am-2:30pm and 6pm-10pm

$28 - $29 per hour + super + generous salary packaging
