PremiAir is a fast-growing Hire/Service company that specialises in the hire, service and sales of air compressors, generators, lighting towers, message boards, pumps and traffic management equipment as well as providing on-site diesel refuelling services.  PremiAir has 14 locations across Australia and in every depot, we are committed to providing our customers with unrivalled service excellence and efficient solutions.

About the Role

Due to unprecedented demand, PremiAir has a full-time, permanent position available with an immediate start for a committed, reliable, and flexible Service Technician/Mechanic with experience in the equipment rental industry, to join our busy depot located in Chinchilla, QLD.

The main responsibility of the role is to service and maintain a wide variety of hire equipment both in the workshop and on customer sites.

Duties

  • The repair, service and maintenance of our hire fleet of equipment PremiAir and OEM standards
  • On-site servicing and repairs as required
  • Fault finding on all diesel engines and compressors
  • Other appropriate duties as directed
  • Administrative tasks relevant to the position

Skills and Experience

You must possess a strong sense of urgency with an "I will make it happen" attitude to get the job done. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Applicants must be based in Australia

  • Applicants must have permanent working rights in Australia

  • Trade Qualifications – Diesel Mechanic or similar is essential with strong fault finding and problem-solving skills

  • Forklift licence and white card is preferred
  • Disconnect/re-connect electrical licence will be well regarded
  • Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills Can work unsupervised and listen and follow instructions
  • Has a strong team mind-set and a willingness to learn new products
  • Can work overtime, including weekends when required and work an on-call roster
  • Is reliable, punctual with excellent work ethics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Previous experience and success in a similar role will be highly regarded, however, the successful applicants will be appointed primarily based on attitude and the desire to assist the business in the next phase of growth.
