About the Role

  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of a high-end kitchen, ensuring consistency and excellence across all dishes.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation, incorporating seasonal produce and contemporary techniques.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene in line with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in managing inventory, ordering, and cost control to support efficient kitchen operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous Experience: Proven experience as a Sous or Junior Sous Chef in a premium or fine dining restaurant.
  • Food Cleanliness: Strong focus on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Leadership and Team Player Skills: Demonstrates a passion for mentoring and developing talented culinary professionals into future leaders.
  • Effective Communication: Skills in fostering honesty and transparency, with the ability to provide timely updates.
  • Health & Safety Commitment: Knowledge of Food Safety standards and WHS regulations.
