The Point of Sale (POS) technical team provides ongoing operational support and new value delivery for Point of sale systems.

As the Tech Lead, you will provide leadership to a small team of experts, to support, maintain and enhance these systems, as we continue to develop and roll out innovative new solutions to remain at the cutting edge of retail technology.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing technical leadership, line management and mentoring duties to the developers and systems engineers.
• Delivering engineering and support skills and maintaining the availability and functionality of critical systems.
• Driving the delivery of software through modern DevOps practices, emphasizing CI/CD and automation testing for optimal efficiency and reliability. Maintaining and developing skillsets in the team to build, maintain and enhance new and existing applications.
• Showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges. Playing a key role in requirements gathering and technical design, contributing to the overall success of the development process.
• Driving innovation and consistently improving the capabilities and efficiency of our Point-of-Sale systems.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, supporting engineers and promoting growth and development of team members.
• Experience operating in Agile environments with an eye on continuous improvement and innovation. Outstanding knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement activities.
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence product owners and enable large-scale, distributed rollout of devices and telephony services.
• Experience working in retail, or e-Commerce verticals supporting a range of Point-of-Sale systems is highly advantageous.
