Perth Airport Western Australia Workfast Full time $196,000 - $246,400 per year

Workfast is seeking Baggage System Operators for our client based at Perth Airport, WA.

This role is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of the airport's Baggage Handling System ensuring baggage flow runs smoothly and any jams or issues are resolved quickly and safely.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, safety-focused operators to join a professional airport services team. Mobilisation and airport clearances will take approximately 1-2 weeks, with work continuing through the Christmas and New Year period until end of January. There is potential for longer term for the right candidate.

  • $47.50 per hour + penalties
  • 2 Days / 2 Nights - 4 Days Off roster (12-hour shifts)
  • Immediate start available pending mobilisation process
  • Role ongoing until end of January 2026
  • Work within a critical operations environment at Perth Airport

What You Need

  • Australian Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain an Airside Driver's License (essential)
  • Ability to obtain an ASIC pass (essential)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol testing
  • Available and willing to work through the Christmas and New Year period - NO HOLIDAYS
  • Physically fit and able to work 12-hour shifts (day and night rotation)
  • Strong safety awareness and proactive approach to operational tasks

What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitoring and supporting the operation of the Baggage Handling System
  • Responding to baggage jams and system alerts safely and efficiently
  • Working as part of a team to ensure continuous system performance
  • Reporting maintenance issues and system faults to supervisors
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and secure work areas in compliance with airport safety standards
