We are looking for a suitably qualified Clinical Nurse to join Gunyah of Wellness AMS, in Nambour, QLD Australia.  We specialise in providing health services to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and to the whole of the community, but We are not your typical medical center

You will work alongside GP's, Allied Health, and Aboriginal Health Practitioners in the medical centre as a practice nurse, in addition to empowering Mob through community initiatives. Chronic Disease Management and Primary Health Care experience highly desirable.

Primary Role: Gunyah of Wellness Clinical Nurse.

Primary Work Location: Nambour, QLD

Employment Type: Permanant Part-Time, 4 Days a week.

Salary Range: $30 - $50 per hour (Award rate to be based on Nurses Award MA000034)

Reports To: Practice Manager

The Criteria

• A sense of Humour
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Understand the health needs of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children, families and community
• Clinical Nurse with Primary Health care and maternal and child Health experience. Primary health care means medical centres, Primary health care centres, urgent care centres, or remote area nursing.
• Maternal and child Health for Babies Gunyah and Gunyah Schools programs, as well as child health checks.
• Experience working with first Nations communities.
• Emergency department experience for our frequent triages and emergencies.
• Has Basic Life support and First Aid current.
• Experience with students, such as Aboriginal Health Practitioner students, Paramedics, Medical students, Nursing students, work experience students.
• Ability to team lead and contribute to policy.
