We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse to our Ophthalmology Outpatient Service
The Ophthalmology Clinical Nurse (CN) is to lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level. The CN is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinic decision making. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.
In accordance with the Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard (SOSIS), the CN manages the streaming of referrals, managing ophthalmology waitlists, clinic management, advice and support to the nursing and MDT.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Provides clinical oversight and clinical direction inclusive of all Ophthalmology Outpatient staff and MDT.
Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Health Values.
Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, work health and safety and ethical behaviour.
Remuneration value up to $97 606 p.a., comprising salary between $ $ p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $ $58.30 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade Permanent Part-Time position available, 56 hrs p.f.). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
