We have a unique and rare opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to join the team at Banyo Kindergarten. This is a part time, ongoing position, for Mondays, Tuesdays and alternate Wednesdays.

Banyo Kindergarten is a well-established, not-for-profit community kindergarten affiliated with C&K (The Creche & Kindergarten Association Ltd). We have a strong reputation within the Banyo community for providing high-quality early education and care.

Position Details

  • Part Time (0.5FTE) Mondays, Tuesdays and Alternative Wednesdays
  • Commencing January 2026
  • Remuneration aligned with Banyo Kindergarten Enterprise Agreement

Qualifications

  • An ACECQA approved Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or an equivalent Early Childhood Qualification

Registrations and Certifications

  • Current Registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
  • Current Blue Card (Exemption Card) Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training
  • Current Child Protection Training approved under 162a of the Education and Care Services National Law (QLD).

  • Current Mandatory Compliance Training (or willingness to complete) including:

  • Child Protection

  • Privacy
  • Workplace Health and Safety
  • Workplace Bullying
  • Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
  • Experience in a community kindergarten is highly valued

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has a passion for early childhood education and innovative, play based pedagogy.
  • Has a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) and the National Quality Framework (NQF).
  • Has a strong understanding and commitment to the Early Childhood Australia (ECA) code of ethics.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of child protection laws, and, child safe practices.
  • Can show a growth mindset with a dedication to ongoing professional learning and collaborative team engagement.
  • Demonstrates the ability to build respectful partnerships with families, children's and colleagues to support each child's wellbeing, learning, development and engagement in the program.
  • Has an understanding of child development and learning theories
