Meat Processing CLEANERS Needed

We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our cleaning & sanitation team at a meat processing facility (abattoir) located in Gundagai, NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of the processing facility, including equipment and surfaces.
  • Handle and clean areas with animal by-products such as fat, blood, and proteins.
  • Use approved chemicals for hygiene and sanitation in line with safety protocols.
  • Operate pressure hoses and cleaning equipment for extended periods.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and safety standards.

About the Role:

  • Immediate Start
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM (Monday to Friday if/ when required)
  • Physically demanding duties including- lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
  • Paid under the Cleaning Services Award "MA000022"
  • Pay rate - $40.07 per hr

What We're Looking For:

  • Individuals who are not sensitive to strong sights or smells.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals and follow detailed instructions.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Q-Fever vaccination. (the business will arrange this for you if unvaccinated)
  • Completion of an online application and induction before commencing work.

Physical requirements

  • Standing for the entirety of the shift (6-8 hours)
  • Frequently and repetitively squat and extend arms
  • Frequently and repetitively bend, crouch, twist and kneel
  • Carry chemical drums weighing up to 25kg
  • Carry industrial hoses weighing up to 25kg

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $40.07 per hour
