About The OPPORTUNITY
As the Practitioner Project Manager, you'll be at the forefront of managing important project changes within the Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program. With a hands-on approach, you'll be working alongside a team of experts to ensure that project changes are understood and implemented to support the delivery of the DCE Program. You'll be supporting the technical, cost, and schedule assessment of each project change, ensuring that we're always on track to deliver exceptional results.
As you build your knowledge and expertise, you'll have the opportunity to run manage the project planning of small to medium size projects, putting your skills to the test and making a real impact on our operations.
This role will be based at our Osborne Shipyard office in Adelaide and is open to the 9-day fortnight.
Principal Accountabilities
- Preparing plans, proposals and responses to change requests through collaborating across the DCE program to develop an accurate view of the impact of project change.
- Ensure that change sentenced through the change IPT's are processed in a timely manner to support delivery and scope control.
- Apply a consistent approach to managing change requests in accordance with the change management plan, supporting the delivery of a standardised and repeatable project change management framework.
- Act as the point of contact for change requests on the DCE Program, identifying opportunities and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Maintain the change team JIRA dashboard to ensure all change requests contain key information required for analysis, reporting and audit purposes
Key Criteria
- Previous experience in project management
- Experience in developing project plans, bids or proposals
- Awareness of Configuration control and/or Change Management
- Ability to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to obtain the necessary deliverables
- Experience in major defence or construction projects
- Experience using PLM tools and other ERP tools
- Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- NV1 Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain in addition to eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
