The Firm.

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Business Services Intermediate/Senior Accountant to join their close-knit team at their conveniently located firm close to Train, Light rail and the Metro line. This is a permanent role with the opportunity for flexible work-from-home arrangements after the probationary period. The Position

You will be responsible for a range of tasks including:

  • Preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies
  • Preparing and reviewing Business Activity Statements (BAS)
  • Conducting management accounting and monthly financial reporting
  • Preparing and reviewing year-end tax planning reports
  • Providing business advisory and consulting services

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in business services accounting (essential)
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting platforms, particularly Xero
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of your work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • CA/CPA qualification (Preferred) or currently working towards certification (highly regarded)
