Role: Technical Lead (Java + RESTAPI +GitLab + OSS)

Location: Sydney

Fulltime (Permanent)

Job Description:

  • Proficiency in using advanced OSS, Java features:
  • Collections, Generics, Reflection, Streams, Lambda, JDBC
  • Ability to implement common design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Observer) in Java applications
  • Understanding of transaction management, isolation levels, and handling concurrent data access.
  • Understanding of changes between Java 8 and 21

Data Structures:-

Java

  • Proficiency in using advanced Java features:
  • Collections, Generics, Reflection, Streams, Lambda, JDBC
  • Ability to implement common design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Observer) in Java applications
  • Understanding of transaction management, isolation levels, and handling concurrent data access
  • Understanding of changes between Java 8 and 21

REST API

  • Familiarity with the core principles of REST architecture:
  • Statelessness, client-server communication, resource representation, authentication and authorization
  • Experience in integrating REST APIs into applications, ensuring smooth data exchange and functionality

Relational DB

  • Oracle\PostgreSQL necessary.
  • Ability to write queries including joins, subqueries, hierarchical structures and aggregate functions
  • Knowledge of indexing strategies and query optimization techniques to improve performance.

Java Frameworks

  • Inversion of control container – Spring or Quarkus
  • Ability to use of DI to manage object creation and dependencies
  • Understanding of the lifecycle and scope of Spring beans
  • Familiarity with annotations configuration methods
  • Spring MVC architecture concepts
  • Basic knowledge of Spring Boot to quickly set up and run Spring applications.

Maven

  • Familiarity with the structure of a file
  • Use of basic commands to build and package applications
  • Understanding of core concepts such as dependencies, plugins, and repositories

JPA – Hibernate

  • Understanding Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) and how Hibernate maps Java classes to database tables
  • Familiarity with basic configuration settings, such as and annotations.

GitLab pipelines

  • Familiarity with the core concepts such as jobs, stages, and runners
  • Ability to monitor execution, verify logs and troubleshoot application related failures.

Jira

  • Able to create filters\dashboards and decompose development tasks in Jira.

UNIX

  • Knowledge of the basic command for navigation, application execution and files operations.
