Supply Planner
to lead distribution planning across our Initiating Systems (IS) and High Explosives (HE) portfolios, delivering service excellence, operational efficiency, and cost optimisation.

The role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning, you'll be responsible for developing and executing distribution strategies that balance dynamic demand with complex operational constraints. You'll own the distribution planning process from inventory positioning to truck scheduling, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery across Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific (DNAP).

This role requires a decisive and influential planner who can confidently uphold priorities, engage stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain distribution plans for Initiating Systems (IS) and High Explosives (HE) across DNAP, including the yearly truck schedule (milk runs) and communication of authorised plans.
  • Maintain distribution plans in SAP and provide timely, accurate data for Supply Review Meeting (SRM) reporting (e.g., DIFOT, SLOB stock).
  • Review daily Extraordinary Order Reports (EOR) for anomalies against customer forecasts and take corrective action.
  • Monitor aged inventory (SLOB stock), formulate and distribute reports, support Demand Review Meetings (DRM) and Product Review Meetings (PRM), and arrange destruction of obsolete stock.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, report nonconformance costs, measure freight variance, and recommend improvements.
  • Communicate distribution plans to customers, suppliers and internal and external storage distribution centres

What You'll Bring

  • You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture.
  • Logistics related certifications (e.g. APICS).
  • Solid experience in a supply chain change role with a track record of improving planning processes, development and operation of planning and analytical tools (Excel, Power BI).
  • Sound understanding of MRPII, DRP principles and ERP systems with working knowledge of planning and inventory control functionality.
  • Knowledge of relevant sections of Dangerous Goods Regulations.
