Role Description

This is a short term contract role for a Locum Sonographer in Rockhampton Queensland. Located near the Capricorn Coast, visitors to Rockhampton can explore the natural beauty of its national parks, limestone caves, or even enjoy a day of fishing on the Fitzroy River. Well within reach just a short boat ride away is the neighbouring Great Barrier Reef, boasting pristine waters for snorkelling and swimming for a perfect day trip or weekend adventure

The position is available from 13 October 2025 to 7 November 2025, however contract duration is flexible with longer contracts a possibility. Take this opportunity for four weeks or extend longer term based on your availability.

The sonographer will be responsible for performing mainly general ultrasound scans but obstetric and gynaecological experience would be advantageous. Applicants must have exceptional patient care and be prepared to work both self directed and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • ASAR registration
  • Extensive experience in general sonography
  • Obstetric/Gynae experience preferred but not essential
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Exceptional patient care
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexibility to adapt to new clinical setting
