Main Duties

Operational

· To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times following the Operational Standards of Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park.

. To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.

. To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu and ability to recommend food and beverage combinations and up-sell alternatives.

. To ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organised at all times.

· To deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.

· To provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.

· Adheres to F&B standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and continuity of service

· Ensure stock and par levels within F&B outlets are maintained

· Ensure outlet is set and ready prior to service

· Assist the team in providing F&B service to guests when required

· Ensure accurate receipt of monies

· Ensure responsible service of alcohol requirements are adhered too at all times

· Working closely with the kitchen team to provide seamless service

General

· To report for work punctually, wearing the correct uniform and maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department's grooming standards.

· To demonstrate Hyatt's Purpose and Values at work.

· To read the hotel's Associate Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.

· To attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.

· Handle guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.

· Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

· Exercise responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel and Hyatt.

· Respond to requests to undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties and to changes as dictated by the hotel, industry and company.

Pay: $24.95 – $30.00 per hour
