About Our School
St Benedict's Primary School at Mango Hill has a student population of just over 750 students. The school was established in 2008 and is located in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane (Mango Hill). St Benedict's is committed to providing a high quality, 21st century Catholic education; an education focused on the development of the human person created whole in the image and likeness of God, bringing faith, life and culture into our school life.

Summary

• Position title: Assistant Principal Religious Education

• Start date: Commencing January, 2025
• Work hours: Full-time
• Salary: $149,763 - $157,120 + super
• Status: Full Time | Fixed-Term (This is a substantive 5 year appointment as APRE with a further 5 years offer subject to a positive review)

About The Opportunity
Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) invites applications for this School Senior Leadership position with the capability to support the Principal in:

• building the religious life of the school and a vibrant Catholic identity within the school community;
• growing the engagement, progress, achievement and wellbeing of each student in the school; and
• building a sustainable school community, ensuring stewardship of resources with transparency, accountability and compliance.

About You
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Experience as an Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal Religious Education, Deputy Principal, Head of Campus or Principal, or a senior role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience
• Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.

Eligibility And Safeguarding Requirements

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
• For this position you are required to be Catholic (or a faith partner of one of our ecumenical schools).
